Research activity of our Institute is closely connected with the prototype production. Nearly all the Institute test-benches have been created by our specialists. In a short space of time a modern large prototype production, consisting of the machine, optical and assembly shops and possessing a unique equipment, sprang up in Sosnovy Bor.

Large lenses, IR-devices, laser systems for medicine, equipment used under low temperatures and vacuum, consumer goods have been manufactured at our prototype production.

Large lenses, thermal direction-finders equipped with large optics, IR devices for observation and radiometry, a unique spectrometric system “PULS “, laser systems “CHIBIS“ and “PROGRESS“, the devices and special equipment for the KMS, VK-150, VKS-01, VKS-OI test-benches, CO2 lasers, solid-state and Cu-vapor lasers have been manufactured at the shops of our prototype production.

Along with the works produced for home market, the Institute delivers aspheric optics to China, USA, Germany, Finland.
